Custom wedding paper goods are created from scratch, specifically for your special day. We will discuss the aesthetics of your wedding and the first impressions you'd like your guests to feel as they receive your wedding stationery. This is a great option for the couple that has a passion for paper and a strong vision of their wedding design. In order to provide one of a kind service to each wedding -- from save the dates to day of details -- Little Yellow Leaf accepts a limited number of custom bookings per year. Please inquire to see if your date is available. Keep in mind Invitations are typically mailed at least 8 weeks out from your wedding day, and we typically have an 8 week timeline for custom design from start to finish.
As each suite is unique, pricing is provided on a project to project basis.

LET'S CHAT | If your wedding date is available, we’ll schedule in person consultation if you’re in the KC area or a phone/skype chat if not. This is a great time to learn more about the special details of your day, design aesthetic and what it is you’re looking for in your wedding stationery. Consultations scheduled by appointment only, typically on Tuesdays and Thursdays during office hours. A scheduling link will be provided
PROPOSAL + CONTRACT | After your consultation you’ll receive a proposal based on the stationery pieces and suite type(s) we talked about. Included in this document is the contract for review as well as an estimated proofing and billing schedule. Each phase of the wedding stationery process is billed separately.
BOOK IT | The proposal is approved and you’re ready to move forward. You’ll receive a questionnaire that will house all necessary details for your wedding stationery. Once your contract, questionnaire and 50% retainer are received you are booked and your proofing process will begin on the date provided in your schedule. These are typically sent within 7 business days.
PROOFING | This is when it gets real! That first time you see you and your fiance’s name in the proof designs is so exciting. We’ll go through a design proofing process for each piece of your phase of your stationery. More details on this process and timeline are provided at booking.
FINAL APPROVAL | Done, final, perfect – send them off to print! Once your pieces are complete you’ll receive a final approval document to review, initial and sign. An estimated completion date is provided once your pieces are in the production queue.
SPECIAL DELIVERY | Your stationery is complete and it’s time to mail them out to your guests. You will arrange your method of receipt and confirm at the time of approval. Orders can be picked up at the Little Yellow Leaf office. USPS Priority Mail is available for a $15 flat rate for Invitations, and local porch drop delivery can be arranged for an additional fee as well.

Custom Wedding Invitation Suites can range from $6.00 - $18/suite, with most averaging $7-$15/suite. There is a minimum $750 Invitation order for Custom Design. Pricing is based on the complexity of the design, paper selections, embellishments and printing methods. Little Yellow Leaf works with professional print shops to offer digital, offset, raised thermography, foiling and letterpress print options. All Invitation Suite embellishments are assembled by hand, with love!
